5th March 2011 - Arts Food and Beer Festival - Moretonhampstead
Moretonhampstead opened its doors to showcase Food and Arts around the town.
23rd June 2010 - Jayne Warren Drawing Class
A quick half day of basic drawing. Starting with straight lines which develop into accurate hatching and shadow/shading effects. The class then moved on to circles, ovals, spheres and transformed them into people. With practice we had proportions, eyes in the right place and limbs with clothes on. Great fun and all felt confident to practice and hone these skills. Thank you Jayne for breaking down the barriers of drawing.
19th May 2010 - NICK VINEY A New Body of Work
We are pleased to present the work of Nick Viney, a new vibrant collection showing the love she has of the form and energy of horses.
Also on show are prints of the work we have come to recognise, colour, bold brush strokes - from hunting scenes to fish on a plate - come and discover more. The exhibition is currently in The Arts and Crafts Chapel, Cross Street (opposite the historic almshouses near the

17th April 2010 - WEAVE A SCARF IN A DAY - Workshop
Jane Deane worked with students showing them how to set up their table top looms - these are fab and fold down into their own carry bags so you can leave them set up and just fold into the bag until you are ready to go again. Note - We sell these and spinning wheels. Jane gave the students a range of yarns to choose from and they made their own mix to create various textures and effects, as they worked they changed the yarns, adding and taking away colours. The weaving achieved was more than a beautiful scarf, there was enough to make waistcoat panels or a bag as well.
8th April 2010 - FELT FLOWERS - Workshop
Have you ever felt flowers, they are very delicate and bruise easily but Claire's Felt Flowers workshop produced the most delicate of blooms that could be handled and formed into well used hairpieces, brooches or adorn a bag or clothing. Everyone works in a different way and has their own particular colour choice, it is exciting to see what develops. Can't wait for the Felting Fun workshop 1st May - this time you can stay for the whole day or by the hour for as long as you like from one to 6 hours.
22nd March 2010 - LEARNING VILLAGE at the ARTS & CRAFTS CHAPEL
We had a lively evening discovering the magic of silver clay. Since the event these skills have been built on and some beautiful jewellery is being made.
6th March 2010 - OPENING OF NEW VENUE FOR WORKSHOPS - EXHIBITIONS & CRAFT SUPPLIES
Today is also the Moretonhampstead Food and Drink Festival. Join us in the Chapel for hands on opportunities to work with some of the tutors and make a piece or watch a demonstration. Painter Jennie Hale is our featured artist/tutor and there is an exhibition area of her beautiful work.
1st June 2009 - SUMMER SCHOOL The Stables Delamore House Cornwood Dartmoor National Park Devon
The Stables are a lovely rustic setting for the Art and Craft Workshops which start in June and run until the end of August. Choose from one and two day workshops.
